Learn to Meditate



Research is now measuring the benefits of meditation. The list is getting more and more impressive. Nowadays, doctors are increasingly citing stress as a major contributing factor to most illnesses. Even though meditation should not be considered a cure by itself, research has shown it to be beneficial for a wide range of health problems. As stress is greatly eliminated through Primordial Sound Meditation, our minds and bodies begin to function with maximum effectiveness, creating health, vitality and happiness.

Meditation is actually a way of turning off the flight/fight/freeze of the sympathetic nervous system which creates stress hormones. If this stress response is sustained, then disharmony is created in the body. Meditation turns ON the rest/digest/rejuvenate system of the parasympathetic nervous system. Observe your digestion, immune responses, sleep, mood and interpersonal interactions. If these areas are not doing well, then meditation will be a contributing factor toward wellbeing and will offer support to the solutions.  Meditation is an important component to your path of wellbeing.

The silence found in meditation is the birthplace of happiness, creativity and infinite possibilities. From this field of pure potentiality, we get our bursts of inspiration, our most intuitive thoughts and our deepest sense of connection to the Universe. Practicing meditation on a daily basis allows you to weave silence and stillness into your mind and body to create a life of greater compassion and fulfillment.

What is it?

Meditation is a tool for rediscovering the body’s own inner intelligence. Primordial Sound Meditation is recommended for anyone who wishes to enjoy deeper peace, greater freedom and mastery of life, and improved mental and physical wellbeing.

Meditation is not about forcing the mind to be quiet. It is using the technology of meditation to find the silence that’s already there, loving that part of your being and effortlessly making it a part of your daily life. Meditation is a journey to the center of your very being; a journey to emotional freedom; and a journey to the reawakening of your unconditioned self; a journey to health and wellbeing.


It would be my privilege to provide you a series of educational classes, which were utilized at the Chopra Center for Wellbeing, to learn the self-healing basics of Meditation. Here are some details:

Primordial Sound Meditation is a meditation technique originating in the ancient wisdom of Vedanta in India. Primordial Sounds—the basic, most essential sounds of nature—are used to disconnect us from the activity of life. These individually selected sounds, known as mantras, are based on the vibration the universe was making at the moment of your birth. Once your Primordial Sound mantra has been determined, you will be taught how to use it on a daily basis to reawaken balance, tranquility and compassion within. I will help you to integrate this practice into your daily routine.

  • Single Cost: $225 (List price $395).  
  • Group cost: If you have a partner or additional friends who select to participate with you, then the cost is $150 per person. 
  • Cost includes: Calculation of your personal mantra, a Chopra Center Guidebook for New Meditators, an audio of Deepak Chopra, MD leading you into a session of Primordial Sound Meditation, and a free follow-up meditation session. 

·         Time Commitment: One full day from 9:00am-4:00pm.  Or divided into two half-days from 9:00am-12:30pm. If needed, times may be adjusted or abbreviated. Sessions are completed in your home or your office, or via a private internet webinar. 

·         Content:

o   9:00-10:30: Lesson 1 - Benefits of meditation, Understanding the seeds of disease, Basic principles of meditation, and the importance of mantra.

o   10:30-10:45: Break.

o   10:45-11:15: Lesson 2 - Understanding primordial sounds; Explanation of your personal mantra and mantra ceremony.

o   11:15-12:15: Lesson 3 - Personal mantra ceremony followed by a private meditation with your new mantra.

o   12:30-1:30: Lunch (ON YOUR OWN).

o   1:30- 3:00: Lesson 4 - Sharing experiences; Applying the practical aspects of a routine meditation practice; Answering questions.

o   3:00-3:15: Break.

o   3:15-4:00: Lesson 5 - Session of Primordial Sound Meditation.

·         Additional Information: During the sessions you will learn stress reducing breath and movement techniques to enhance your meditation experience.
